Job Description

Headline: Procurement Category Manager IT, IS/Software & Electronics Products, within the expanding strategic sourcing function of this leading FTSE 100 organisation; currently investing in personnel and best practice methodology across procurement.

Role: Procurement Category Manager IT, IS/Software & Electronics Products, within the expanding strategic sourcing function of this leading FTSE 100 organisation; currently investing in personnel and best practice methodology across procurement.

You will be responsible for: Developing & implementing sourcing strategy, managing commercial negotiations & supplier relationships across the following technology categories: Software, technology Outsourcing/Off-Shoring Managing the end-to-end procurement process, encompassing: supplier selection, stakeholder engagement, RFP/RFI creation, negotiation, establishing SLA\'s & KPI s, contract award and subsequent SRM Performance & risk management along with driving continuous improvement activities Developing procurement processes, controls and governance policy Managing cross-functional internal relationships, with other category teams, finance and supply chain Identifying, developing & managing relationships across a diverse stakeholder community

Due to the current expansion drive, and high-profile projects both under-way and impending, this role represents an outstanding opportunity for career progression and development, however my client therefore also requires an experienced domain expert within the IT Software category arena, along with a strong level of experience across technology Outsourcing/Offshoring, as there will be an expectation of engagement & delivery from day-one.

Requirements: Domain/Category sourcing expertise across the following technology arenas: IT - Hardware, Software and Electronics Products (Consumer) is ESSENTIAL You will have demonstrable success managing senior stakeholder relationships Excellent, demonstrable strategic sourcing skills & experience across the end-to-end life cycle Excellent communication, influencing & negotiation skills Excellent contract drafting & negotiation skills Degree educated/equivalent, and ideally MCIPS/part CIPS with the desire to complete
