Job Description

Electronics Test Engineer/Electrical Test Engineer Woking, Surrey £20,000 - £35,000 neg DOE Plus Bonus, Pension Contribution, Share Options An opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Test Engineer/Electrical Test Engineer to join our client, a pioneering business specialising in analytical instruments for customers in the energy, security and defence industries. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive electronics/electrical experience to join a dynamic company at a key point in its development. As the Electronics Test Engineer/Electrical Test Engineer your duties will include: * Formulating test plans * Testing/debugging new software versions * Assisting with initial testing and debugging of new products * Building prototype instruments, test fixtures and in-house instrumentation * Configuration of new instruments Your role will also involve supporting field technicians and application engineers, and assisting with solving manufacturing problems, for example sourcing suitable component alternatives and resolving software versioning issues. To be considered for this position you must have: * Extensive industrial electrical/electronic test experience * Extensive experience of testing and debugging electronic hardware, analogue and HF circuits * The ability to troubleshoot analogue and digital circuitry to component level * Familiarity with wide range of electronic test instrumentation * The ability to repair and rework fine pitch surface-mount PCBs * Experience with Firmware and FPGA/VHDL coding and debugging As the Electronics Test Engineer/Electrical Test Engineer you should also be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and have a positive attitude towards problem solving. An HNC/HND/degree (or equivalent) in an electronics or related discipline would be beneficial to your application.
