The Company
Part of one of Europe’s largest specialist media publishers that employs around 3,500 people at 35 locations across the UK and Europe. Our client is a service provider, providing used vehicle marketing and related services to car manufacturers and their franchised dealer networks
The Role
Duties and responsibilities can be categorised as follows;
Sales Ledger
Invoicing and credit control, for subscription, commission and fixed marketing services. Reconciliation and administration of subscriptions and sales orders, sales remittances, cheque logging and invoicing queries. All filing and communication related to Sales Ledger.
Liaison with Client Services to provide information, driving and controlling sales ordering, and supervising invoicing and payment issues. Provision of weekly credit control reports.
Coding and posting of invoices with consideration for deferred income, accrual and prepayments.
Weekly reporting to Finance Manager.
Supporting Finance Manager and Finance Director with annual sales budgets (and monthly variance analysis) and forecasts.
Purchase Ledger
Purchase requisition/order processing. Matching orders to invoices, ensuring relevant authorisation. Purchase invoice processing and payment scheduling. Maintenance of lease purchase issues, supplier evaluation and cost control. General expenditure related administration including telecoms, mobile phones, mileage records, gym subscriptions, health care, visa reconciliation, vehicle management, PI, public liability and contents insurance issues. All filing and communication related to Purchase Ledger.
Liaison with Operations, Development and Management to provide supplier information and control purchase ordering. Support weekly expenditure and debit control reports to aid cashflow forecasting and reconciliation.
Supporting Finance Manager and Finance Director with annual sales budgets (and monthly variance analysis) and forecasts.
Weekly bank reconciliations and other duties where required.
You
The successful candidate will have the following;
* Proven finance experience
* Good communication skills (written and verbal)
* A strong team ethic
* A methodical approach
* Sage Line 50 experience desirable
